Next Steps
“...that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28

Ready to take a next step of faith?
It’s our joy to help people step into the Kingdom, grow in relationship with Jesus and learn how to engage the mission, together. We hope that you’ll join us as we “run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2, ESV)
Beginning a relationship with Jesus
True change begins with a decision to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior. It means turning from sin and rebellion against God and believing in Jesus and what He’s done for you.
When we surrender to follow Jesus, we not only receive forgiveness, but we also have power to live out the kind of life that pleases God. He leads us to an abundant life, both now and for all of eternity.

Baptism
Jesus Christ commanded that those who have become His followers be baptized. Baptism doesn’t make you a follower of Christ—it shows that you have already decided to follow Him.
If you have become a follower of Christ, but have not been baptized since you decided to follow Him, talk with us about our next Baptism Sunday.

Discipleship
The Bible richly describes a disciple as one who “walks after, or follows” Jesus. We seek to pattern ourselves after Jesus, to know Him and become fully devoted followers of Christ in every part of our life.
Discipleship happens in a lot of different ways here at Church in the Valley. From Sunday mornings, to community groups, to walking through life, it’s all part of our overall vision to continue growing in the likeness of Jesus as we pursue God’s mission, together.
If there’s a particular area of your faith where you’d like some focused help, please contact us.

Church membership
Becoming a member of Church in the Valley means becoming a part of our spiritual family and joining us on an important and exciting journey. Membership is a doorway to many different opportunities.
The first step in our membership process is to attend Discovering Church in the Valley. Even if you haven’t decided about membership, this is a good way to find out more about Church in the Valley.

Participating in ministry
God designed the church so that every believer will have a part in fulfilling the mission. Participating in the ministry is a great way to connect with others and encounter opportunities to grow in your faith.
A few ways to participate are by serving on a team or joining a group.

What's your next step?
If you’d like more information about any of these growth opportunities, please let us know and we’d love to talk with you further!
